In Norse Mythology, Sleipnir (meaning "slippy" or "the slipper") is an eight-legged horse. It is Odin's steed, the child of Loki and Svaðilfari, and is decribed as the best of all horses, sometimes ridden to the location of Hel. This horse is often mentioned in riddles or poems of the Ancient Norse World such as the Poetic Edda, Prose Edda, Gesta Danorum and the Völsunga saga.
